We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.

Arrival at Queen Alia International Airport. Meet and assist at the airport. Transfer to hotel.

You’ll have some free time to explore what Amman has to offer before our welcome dinner in the evening.

Overnight stay at a hotel in Amman.

Meals included: dinner

Overnight in Amman

We’re starting the first day of our adventure in Jordan by meeting with 2 local organizations. These assist and work together with refugees in the region. Jordan, due to its geographic location, hosts millions of refugees from multiple countries. This is not widely acknowledged in mainstream media. We are being hosted and welcomed by them because they are eager to share their stories. This is a unique experience as part of The Hybrid Tours and we expect you to be respectful as guests.

This is all possible through the permanent partnership we have with Our World Too. Your visit directly supports their livelihoods, and yes, by traveling with us we provide financial assistance to these vulnerable communities. Today is all about learning and breaking stereotypes.

After our meetings, you’ll have the rest of afternoon free.

Meals: breakfast and lunch

Overnight in Amman

After breakfast, we will have a chance to visit Jordan’s green north. Our first stop will be Jerash. The archaeological site is regarded as one of the most important and best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Forget any Roman sites you’ve seen in Europe. We promise you this is better.

After Jerash, we’ll continue to Ajloun, where we’ll have lunch. This town is mostly made up of a castle which we’ll visit that was used as a pilgrimage intersection between Jerusalem, Cairo, Damascus and Mecca, and it’s still incredibly well-preserved.

After we drive back to Amman, you’ll have free time in the evening.

Meals included: breakfast and lunch

Overnight in Amman

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you’ll head to a resort in the Dead Sea. We’re visiting the only Jordanian-owned resort in the area – since we’re only supporting local businesses, of course.

You’re free to explore the property, or go down to the shore of the Dead Sea: the lowest body of water on Earth, and one of the saltiest ones. You can’t sink here! Scrub some mud, which is amazing for your skin, and enjoy floating!

Tip: do NOT shave for at least 48 hours before going in or it will BURN.

We’ll spent a few hours here, have lunch at the resort, before heading out to Wadi Rum, where we’ll stay overnight in the desert and have a dinner party. We’re staying at an authentic Bedouin camp, where our food will be cooked under the sand – the Bedouin way! And you’ll have the rest of the evening to do some stargazing or enjoy the bonfire.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Overnight at a Bedouin Camp

You’ll wake up in Wadi Rum – a desert with the most reddish colors you’ve ever seen. How red is it? Movies like The Martian and Dune were filmed here. These are some of the most otherworldly views you’ve ever seen. We’ll go on a jeep tour of the area for 2-3 hours and we’ll have lunch out in the desert.

After heading back to the camp, we’ll leave the Wadi Rum area and head out to the most anticipated part of the trip: Petra. Most people only visit Petra for a day and skip Little Petra – we will get the chance to walk through an 8,000 year old excavated village. Since it’s less visited, it has a completely different atmosphere. This is a great intro to the history of Petra before your big day tomorrow!

After Little Petra, you’ll have the rest of the evening off.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Overnight in Petra

After breakfast, you will marvel at the beauty of the Lost City, the Red Rose City of Petra, exploring its many caves and tombs.

After a 20 minute walk through the main canyon, be ready to be speechless at the site of the Nabateans city, now one of the Modern 7 Wonders of the World.

After a guided tour, you’ll be free to spend the day at your leisure roaming around Petra, exploring the area and taking pictures. Our hotel is located within walking distance of the main entrance so you can take things at your own pace!

Exercise level: easy to moderate. It’s mostly flat and very accessible in the main part of the site. If you go all the way to the Monastery (which is completely optional) expect a good amount of stairs.

Optional activity in the evening: Petra by Night

Meals: Breakfast

Overnight in Petra

You’ll drive back to Amman after breakfast. A few hours later, you’ll explore the Citadel, one of the city’s most popular archaeological sites, together with the stunning Roman Amphitheater.

We’ll also have the opportunity to visit the King Abdullah I Mosque, also referred to as the Blue Mosque because of its beautiful dome. We encourage curiosity and learning, and this is the place where you’ll gain more knowledge about Islam and its misconceptions from your guide.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Overnight in Amman

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Iraq Al-Amir to spend time with a community of women who transcend social boundaries. The cooperation exists to keep their culture alive, protect the environment, and to provide meaningful employment for local women in the village, especially since there aren’t many opportunities for them available in the region.

We will be taking part in one of their workshops. This is a surprise! The only clue we’re giving you is that it will require a bit of upper-body action.

All of their goods are handmade and we highly recommend buying souvenirs here. Our visit will support their causes as well, of course. Then we’ll have a homemade goodbye meal before driving back to Amman for the end of your Jordan journey.

———————–

Check-out is after breakfast. You can safely store your bags in the hotel lobby. Then depending on your time of departure, you’ll be driven back to Amman airport for your flight.

If you wish to extend your stay in Jordan, let us know and we can assist you with accommodation, transportation, and anything else you might need.

Thank you for joining us on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!

The immersive experience with Hybrid Tours, merging culture and education, broadened my understanding of historical events, giving me a more nuanced perspective of the complexities and contexts behind them. Interacting with knowledgeable guides, first-hand witnesses and historians brought stories to life, filling in gaps and answering questions that I never knew I had. The founders Hira and Sibu's passion and expertise were infectious, making each moment on the tour enlightening and memorable.

This was the most unique trip I have ever been on. It combined the very tough history of Bosnia and Herzegovina along with tourism: sharing the beautiful cities and natural areas in this country! I had some of the best food I’ve ever had in Europe, saw incredible nature and also experienced meeting so many amazing individuals that were survivors of the genocide. They shared their stories and I learned in a way I never had, not from museums but from the people that actually lived through the events themselves! This is a pioneer for a new type of tourism! Get on these trips before they start filling out like crazy!

This was not only my first trip to Bosnia, but it was also my first trip to Europe and it was beyond my expectations. Beginning with the history, to the road trip, to learning about the nation, it was a wonderful experience. The best part was that the guide Demir and The Hybrid Tours didn’t treat us like tourists - they treated us like friends throughout the whole trip. I’m excited to go back and visit Bosnia!

I had the opportunity to behold, explore and learn about Bosnia and Herzegovina through the perspective of its warm and charming locals. And.. Whoa. I never could’ve anticipated how exquisite, fascinating and deeply worthwhile of an experience it would be traveling through some of the nation’s past and present. To feast my eyes on otherworld beauty. To witness the fierce spirit of citizens still suffering from ongoing injustices. To drive through gorgeous mountains, soak in panoramic views of fairyland waterfalls and chill in city centers with a culture preserved from a time before. To walk in the spaces where the genocide took place in the 90s. To talk with lovely, down to earth and laid back locals who... remember.

The trip to Bosnia was rewarding in many ways; I learned a lot about the historical and cultural background of the city in a different era. It is a country that carries a lot of sorrows and scars, that has experienced tensions but is still filled with charm and beauty. I am talking about its unique landscapes and the brightness it has kept despite its past. Shared collective pain and joy are, in my opinion, what brings people together and creates connections. This is exactly what I experienced in Bosnia and so, I am deeply humbled and grateful for the testimonies of Demir Mahmutcehajic, Hasan Nuhanovic, and Nana Fata who have chosen to act with generosity in sharing their stories rather than with bitterness. I am also very grateful to have met people who were equally drawn to discovering Bosnia's past and with whom I could experience and share a range of emotions that came up during my visit. A heartfelt thank you to Hira, Sibu and Demir for organizing this wonderful trip. I highly recommend it.
