How to Apply for a Visa to Pakistan: A Step-by-Step Guide

Applying for a visa to Pakistan can be an exciting step in your travel planning process. If you’re preparing for an adventure through this fascinating country, we’ve got you covered with a simple, easy-to-follow guide on how to apply for your visa. Applying for a visa on your own can be a bit troublesome, but if you’re here with The Hybrid Tours, we take care of all of the documents for you!

You’ll need a passport picture, a copy of your passport, and two documents. You’ll find all of the relevant information in Step 2 of this article.

Before you begin, PLEASE do this on your desktop. We appreciate the government creating a mobile app, but unfortunately this is not very reliable. And make sure to SAVE, SAVE, SAVE each section after completing it. The website is glitchy and we don’t want you to lose all of your information and have to fill it out all over again.

Here’s a breakdown of how to navigate the application:

Step 1: Create Your Account & Fill Out Personal Information

To get started, you’ll need to register an account on the official visa application website. Once your account is created, you’ll begin filling in your personal details. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Parent Information: In the “Parents” section, you only need to fill out one parent’s information. Don’t worry, the authorities won’t check it in detail, but make sure the nationality you provide matches the nationality listed in your passport.
  • Hotel Details: You’ll be asked for your hotel information during the application process. When you book your tour with us, we’ll provide you with the hotel details you need. For the “arrival date,” enter the date that’s stated in your invitation letter, and for “checkout,” feel free to enter a date 5-6 days later. This will cover your visa needs and ensure your application proceeds smoothly.
  • Sponsor Section: Leave the sponsor section blank, as you are not required to have a sponsor for your visa.

Pro Tip: Only the fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. If a section asks for additional details like your education, native language, or religion, and these are not mandatory, leave them blank to save time.

Step 2: Upload Your Documents

Now it’s time to upload your required documents. The file size limit for ALL documents is 7MB, so make sure they are well within that range. If one of your documents is too large, just Google “compress jpg, png or pdf online free” depending on the document you want to compress and follow the steps.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Passport Photo: If you don’t have a passport photo ready, simply have someone take a picture of you against a white background and crop it to size. This will work perfectly for the visa application.
  • Passport Copy: You’ll need to upload a clear copy of your passport.
  • Invitation Letter: We will send this to you via email once you’ve booked your tour with us. Ensure you upload this as part of the document process.
  • Company Documents: If you’re traveling with us, we’ll provide these documents to you via email as well.

You’ll see that the system gives you the option to CHOOSE and UPLOAD your picture and your passport. If you look at the options you’ll also see OTHER listed. This is what you’ll choose to upload your invitation letter and company documents. You can upload up to 4 documents in total.

Once you’ve uploaded these documents, you can move to the payment section. At the top of the page, you’ll see if any payment is required. Visa fees can range from $0 to $60, depending on your nationality. The government is waiving fees for citizens from over 120 countries, so it’s likely that you won’t need to pay. If you do need to pay, don’t worry – the application will guide you through the process.

Step 3: Check for Visa Fee Waivers

In case your country is eligible for the visa fee waiver (which is IN THE PROCESS of being extended to over 120 countries), you won’t need to pay anything. If you’re from a country not listed for the waiver, don’t fret! Just follow the instructions online.

Even if your visa is free and it says “proceed to payment”, please click on that button anyway! It will take you to the last page of the application form.

Make sure to keep your application tracking number at hand. The visa usually takes a few working days to be processed, then you’ll receive an email stating that it’s either been approved or they need more documents from you.

Step 4: Proceed to Payment (if applicable)

If there is a fee, simply follow the instructions to complete your payment. Once everything is submitted, you’ll receive confirmation that your application is being processed. Be sure to check your email (including the SPAM AND PROMOTIONS folder) for any updates regarding your visa status.

NOTE: If your nationality is not eligible to apply for the visa online, we’ll be contacting you directly with all of the documents required for you to visit your regional Pakistani embassy.

Additional Tips for a Smooth Application Process

  • Previous Travel History: In the section asking for previous travel history, mention just 1 or 2 recent countries you’ve visited. There’s no need to list every country you’ve been to, which helps keep the process simple and quick.
  • Optional Sections: As mentioned earlier, some fields like education, religion, and native language might not be mandatory. If you don’t feel comfortable filling them out, or if they aren’t required, just leave them blank.
  • Technical Issues: If you run into any trouble during the application process, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team via WhatsApp or email us at info@thehybridtours.com. We’re here to assist you every step of the way.

That’s it! Applying for a visa to Pakistan is a straightforward process if you’re prepared and organized. Remember, we’ll provide you with the necessary documents like the invitation letter and company documents, making your application as seamless as possible.
